Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills

For those of you who are interested in Understanding more about MSG and other excitotoxins this is a great video!  It is over 1hour and 1/2 but it's very informative and worth the time.  Especially if you don't believe me but want to about the MSG! ;)  Of course the best "proof" for me was seeing the difference in my children and seeing the difference in myself.  I didn't even know it was effecting me until I went without it.

Wow Tammie, thank you for posting this. Very imformative !

I have big problems with MSG etc. and on further reading, I discovered that it was making my low blood sugar even harder to keep stable/normal. If I eat out, I know it's somewhere in the foods and I usually feel it when it starts hitting my bloodstream...then I feel awful...ruins the whole going out to lunch or dinner experience.

I am working to push the rest of the bad stuff out of my house for good by growing my own veggies, using fresh or dried herbs I've done in my air dehydrator, making meals from scratch and eliminating seasonings that contain MSG etc.

The food industry has a very well funded lobby to lawmakers ( campaign donations ) for minimum labeling of these substances so it is up to individuals and families to get the best quality foods into their homes and cook and prepare them so you know exactly what you are eating !

Thanks for posting this video. I learned a lot, and am feeling a bit stunned at the moment...

We have been "healthifying" our diet, and you can bet the next step is going to be getting rid of the MSG (and its pseudonyms!) in the house. I kept stopping the video and going to the pantry and reading labels. EEEKK! It's everywhere!

I'm glad I haven't done the month's shopping yet: there's gonna be some CHANGES!

I'm going to ask my husband to watch this too. He has a BS in Microbiology, so it will probably make even more sense to him!
