Stir Fry with Quinoa

My Mom came up with this one!  And I just love it!

Quinoa Stir Fry
Favorite Stir Fry Veggies (broccoli, celery, onion, etc)
Olive oil
cooked Quinoa
Shoyu
Favorite Seasonings
Balsamic Vinegar
Pecans (optional)

Stir fry veggies in a little Olive oil, add a little Shoyu, favorite Seasonings (I like the organic no salt seasoning from Costco for this)and pecans if desired.  Take off the heat and stir in the cooked Quinoa.  Splash each serving with a little Balsamic Vinegar.  So Simple and So Good!

Did you know that Quinoa is one of only a few grains that are alkaline!?
Did you know it has all essential amino acids and then some
making it a complete protein!?
Did you know it cooks up twice as fast as brown rice!?
Did you know it's good to eat a variety of whole grains?
Remember my Rice Cooker I told you about in this post.....
well I love it but I couldn't fill it very full or it would make
a mess especially with Quinoa.  A reader told me she found
if she put the steamer that it comes with on top every time
she is using it, even without steaming veggies in it.....She said
it fixed the problem of overflow, sputtering, etc.!   I thought
that was a great idea and we have been doing it that way
ever since and now I love my rice cooker even more!
I have the smartest readers and I love it when they share!
Did you know Quinoa is pronounced KEEN-WAH? ;)

You're funny! Surprisingly, I did know all that about quinoa. Did you know that you can get organic quinoa at Costco? (At least you can at mine.) And did you further know that it's delicious?!

(Well, of course you did, but you know I'm just bein' funny...)
