Tammie-I met you last summer at home school park day. I've been very happy with your blog and recipes. I was told at Good Earth that the yeast extract in Rapunzel veg boullion is MSG. What do you think?
Also, I've read contraversial things about Palm oil. What have you learned about it as an fatsub?

Z: From what I understand autolized yeast extract is the same as MSG. I usually get deep sharp headaches if I have MSG we use the veggie bullion quite a bit I have not noticed a problem with it. But maybe it is a more natural form of it (if there is such a thing;) I have come across a veggie bullion recipe that I will try and hopefully it will be good. If it is I will post it and we can save money by making our own and we will also know EXACTALLY what's in it!

From what I understand about Palm oil is that Palm fruit oil is good for you like coconut oil and the palm kernal is more like your canola oil not reall good for you at all. I have tried using some Palm fruit oil to make things with but it is very orange (probably full of lots of beta carotine and very good for you) and it also has a very strong flavor. I need to figure out the best way to use it.

If you have arial fibrulation, stay away from MSG. It will throw your heart out of rythmn and off to the hospital you will go. This preservative is abundant is most chinese/japanese foods and terayaki sauce as well.

Tammie, thank you so much for this simple recipe. I have tried several whole wheat tortilla recipes and haven't liked any of them. I needed to make some for our lentil tacos tonight and thought, "Maybe, just maybe, Tammie has one on her blog." And lo and behold, your recent post linked to this! Hooray! I was so excited to eat these yummy tortillas for dinner tonight!
