Thousand Island Dressing


Thousand Island Dressing
1 cup Vegenaise
¼ cup Ketchup
1/2 Tablespoon Agave
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon fresh onion or 1 teaspoon onion powder
Real Salt to taste (optional)
2 teaspoons Shoyu or healthy Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup Raw Cashews, soaked and drained (optional)
¼ cup Better Bread and Butter Pickles and 1 Tablespoon of the juice


In blender place everything but the pickles, blend until nice and smooth.  Add pickles and pulse until chopped up good or just chop them up and add in after all done blending.

And just like that...you busted out some Thousand Island. Now the question is...does Dad approve?

Em: Dad hasn't tried it yet. I pulled the recipe out of "Book 3- Salads, Sandwiches, Sides & Soups" and posted it. I haven't made it for Dad but I'm pretty dang sure he would like it as long as we put it in a store bought bottle so he didn't know. ;)

Emily: We found garlic, honey, and cayenne will take care of strep throat in about 24 hours. I take about 4 cloves of garlic minced and add 4 Tablespoons raw honey with a pinch of cayenne. It seems to work like a charm. We take about a teaspoon of the mixture every hour for 24-48 hours.
